1991 is true. the only comparable album I heard this year was the new pornographers and I liked that much more. weak songwriting, if you ask me. (what you didn't do)

ISAN: Plans Drawn in Pencil

One of my favorite electronic albums. Melodic analog synths throughout. Soothing...which is very necessary considering walking to the bar for rum and a couple beers after polishing off that third bottle of wine was maybe a bit much.

No, it's Steve Dawson of the Chicago based alt country band, Dolly Varden. I had a couple of their songs come up on random on my ipod recently and realized how much I liked them. This is his new album and apparently his second solo album. It's pretty good - a bit poppier than Dolly Varden though.
