That's a microcosm of hockey in America.

OPA's Facebook feed has not been as overbearing as I anticipated.

I absolutely hate that broadcasts want to talk to the manager DURING the game.

Ridiculous.

It's live.

Taped between innings I could understand, sort of.

it's between pitches and ridiculously stupid. Do it before the game or wait for it to be over.

(I didn't mind it when they did it in the All-Star game, but in the playoffs is wrong.)

I could not agree more with this. Or in any other professional sport.

It'll never happen, but let people win or lose. Wait until the end of the fucking game before swarming all over everyone involved.

does anyone like the in game interview? has it ever revealed anything interesting ever?

the managers and interviewers clearly hate it.
every fan i've ever talked to hates it.

who thinks this shit is a good idea?

I think that the Suits and Ties that be think that the casual fan will be more entertained if they do in-game interviews. I don't know why the teams bend over backwards to accommodate them. Must be in the TV contracts or something.

some managers don't completely hate it, but it's terrible seeing the ones who do. and the mickey mouse questions are horrendous. i also really dislike the cameraman on the field in step with a home run hitter between 3rd and home.

I think the first year or two they did them, they recorded between innings. Still unnecessary in my book, but it felt a bit classier. But The Man probably figured that "live, on the spot" was better--nevermind the fact that it is distracting the coaches who are trying to win a playoff game.
