I don't want to go to a theater to watch 20 minutes of a movie just to pay to go back later and watch the whole thing.

This would be cool if they showed the 20 minutes before/after a screening of the original but as is, it's just a big dick tease.

I've never seen the original.

The original is pretty fun, but a little too silly and too long. Some of the SFX shots look really cool now, and some are just bad. The plot and dialogue are completely ridiculous. It's just worth watching for the effects and the design.
