These guys inspired countless shitty bands but none ever really perfected their simple, melodic sound. Haven't pulled this out in a while and it's sounding great. Almost jammy in parts, especially on "When Will You Come Home". Something you saw more of later with Luna. Probably my favorite of theirs.

I actually pulled out a bunch of my old tapes from my college radio days. I've got a few dozen tapes where i went into Studio B (the one not used to broadcast) and copied tons of vinyl on to tapes (this is pre-CDR's).

The album on side B of this tape is Bunnygrunt!

The Byrds - Younger than Yesterday
Mike Stinson - The Jukebox in Your Heart

Thanks again for the Stinson, contradiction. It's really good -- definitely jumps right into the top five of things I've heard this year.

Is Mike Stinson any relation to the Stinsons of Mats fame?

African Lounge

Was semi-scared this thing would turn out to be some cheesy as hell techno crap, but I'm digging it. Smooth and laid back modern beats yeah, but some interesting exotic rhythms throughout with a nice mellow vibe. No one I've heard of on this thing, and I can't really find shit about it online except a few places where you can download it, but a really nice listen.

IMO - T. Bone Burnett has held this record back from reaching its potential. It sounds like it needs to breath.
