I know we have fans of both here on Obner. They know have a band together in which they cover songs from Tidwell's father's Chart Records labels which was around from the 50s - 70s putting out variations on country music. Just from the few songs I've heard via the below links, it sounds like it would be a really good listen. The musicians on the recording are members of both Wagner's and Tidwell's backing bands including William Tyler (Silver Jews/Lambchop), Ryan Norris (Forrest Bride, The Privates), Paul Niehaus (Calexico) and more.

i dont really even know either of them very well but i listened to this a couple days ago and found it really pretty good. unique sound. would like a better rip as I have a 192kpbs, but yeah. I could definitely see this one growing enough to be one of my faves of the year.
