I have a center console/armrest that I always throw the bugger in when I am going into stores etc, so as not to tempt any smash and grabbers.

I have been doing this since I got my first ipod in 2002. I guess I misjudged my placement today. It was at an angle where the latch is. Placed my elbow on there to push outta the car....an unmistable cracking sound. It still plays, but the screen looks like an oil spill that has been formed into a dream catcher.

I am transferring all the songs to my back up drive (something I guess I shoulda been doing the whole time)

I now need to figure out just how to scam a new one, b/c another $300 or whatever just ain't in the budget.

SHITFUCKSHITFUCKSHIT!!

One day I am gonna throw mine at something, and be in the same boat. I think I have a 3 yr. plan with Best Buy, so I better break it soon to get a new one.

I'm taking mine in a month or 2 before my 1 year is up, if only to get a new battery...

As you can probably imagine, I'm "not light" pressure + angle + metal latch = broke dick lcd screen.

It takes a long ass time to back up 6500 motherfuckin songs. I hope this is done by tomorrow morning.
