I've recently been introduced and now thoroughly addicted to the graphic novels, so I'm really looking forward to this series on AMC. From the trailers it looks pretty incredible.

Recently got the compendium, which is I think the first 48 issues all collected (something like 1100 pages), I gotta start reading it.

Being on AMC is a HUGE plus. That and the fact that it's written and executive produced by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile).

I can't wait. This and Max Brooks' World War Z are the crowning achievements of the zombie genre, and this is coming from one of George Romero's biggest fans.

I'm curious to see how this works in a TV format, though. The way the books are written (in a serial format, with a monster cliffhanger every 24 pages) might translate funny to TV. Still, I trust Darabont, especially after he had the balls to end The Mist the way he did.

Did the movie end differently from the novel? But yeah, the ending totally made it. Although it was a great premise, too. Very dreamlike.

yeah, the movie ending is a LOT darker than the novel(la). It blows my mind that he was even able to get that shit made. Darabont must have some Coyne-level powers of persuasion.

I simply can't wait for this. I have all 12 volumes which I have been re-reading.

The preview seems like a pretty literal adaptation of the start of the comic book, which is pretty cool to see. I just wonder whether some of the more straight up horror elements of the comic won't seem cheesy on TV.
