A quick look through my email archives showed that I ordered two used (OOP) discs from them, and I was satisfied with the condition and shipping speed of both.

I've ordered from Amazon frequently, both new and used. Both directly from Amazon, and from sellers through Amazon, and only once was something really wrong. It's pretty dependable.

I've also ordered directly from Hastings' own site many times. No issues. They're pretty good about having online sales, etc.

The thing about GoHastings is that they're a large used dealer with stores all over the US. So when you buy a used item from them it is being packed and shipped by an individual store, who is probably packing and sending a bunch of other items at the same time. Which basically means that your average Joe Smuck is the one in charge of shipping. So I've had several times where I've ordered from GoHastings and in the packing process the shipping labels got switched and the wrong items went out to the wrong people. Now, the customer service is good in so far as they're understanding... and if their chain has another one they'll ship it out, or they'll offer a full refund and you can keep the mistake. Still, a bitter pill to swallow when you've thought you were spending $60+ on a rare DVD set (that routinely goes on ebay for $100+) and instead you get a kung fu DVD that is only worth $1 or less. Still, I got my money back in a good period of time. I'd deal with them again, but the set-up is one prone to more mistakes than most.

I have through Amazon (and even then juuuuust recently, like this year) but never through another seller that's using amazon as the online go-thru.

just got 3 in today, all looking great. even the Maxiwagon cd came with the screened canvas cover, just like i remember from the college radio station. yay!
