I think Schaffer has the best slogan. Something like when your drinking more than one, drink Schaffer.

Might be Asheville, NC on the real. Decisions, Decisions to make...

Plus I have one last chance in DC I think...I wish I could just pay someone to make a decision for me. Also wish I had a High Life right now...as it stands I gotta be out the door to Montgomery at 6:30 for a full day of meetings.

I'm a fan, too. I think you really have to get it on draught rather than in the bottle. it makes a HUGE difference, I think.

Yeah, I used to be a fucking Sam's JUNKY.....Now, I occasionally will order the lager in a restaraunt if they've got nothing better in a bottle. Its not a bad beer to have with a meal. But I'm with Dalen, I don't drink beer that much anymore. Booze. Wine. Shakes. Liver destruction. Jaundice. Cancer. Death.

Another tasty Black and Tan combo: Magic Hat #9 and Guinness. Thanks be to the Church Street Tavern for this one.

I thought for a second that I read some posts that said something like "not a fan of Sam Adams" and "me, neither."

But that just can't be true, so it must have been a dream or something.

Heh, heh, not a fan. Talk about April Fool's. Heh Heh.

I could drink Sam Adams until my ribcage bursts and it sprays out my chest cavity. Then I'd want bandages soaked in Guinness to wrap the wound.

Even Mickey's Wide Mouth? I kid.

If you're jonesing for good Sam Adams beer, try the Triple Bock.

I don't like Sam Adams. Nothing personal.

I like Ambers, Porters and Stout's for the most part. Widmer makes good beer, Red Hook is decent, Sierra Nevada is good, Northern Lights, Flying Dog, Stone, Mac & Jacks....etc.... almost forgot Rogue (they make some great stuff).

I can't stand Heiny's, Becks, Grolsch and the sort. Way too skunky for me.

This is High Life Land up here, baby. $9 gets a man a case of it. And man do I enjoy it.

Patrick, what are you? Some kind of Commie?

You live in BREW City and you drink Amstel? You should be drinking East Side Dark, or Riverwest Stein at least! Of course I could be wrong, SAB might own Amstel and then you could make an argument for it being a local. )

Lately for imports I prefer: Smithwick's, Guinness, Smithwick's, And any Paulaner on tap.

Local favorites this blessed bock season are: Uff-Da from New Glarus Brewing, Big BUTT from Leininkugels.

I am looking forward to this summer and tipping back the Spotted Cow from NGB.

BTW, if anyone wants to freak out at this monopoly... lookie:

http://www.diageo.com Check out the brands that they own...WOW~!

You Boddington's, etc./ english beer fans should try Abbott Ale. Darker, more full-flavored, smooth, and not overly bitter. My all-time favorite beer. I've never seen it on tap anywhere in the US, but you can probably find it at better beer stores/distributors.

I think that this is actually a Strong Ale or Old Ale. At what? 17% alcohol and that wee bottle it is hardly a slammer )... It's like Thomas Hardy Ale.

Comparing Sam Adams TBock to the average lager/ale is like eating Planter's nuts, after a perfect jumbo Cashew. Not in the same class.
