I can't find it on youtube but I just saw the Bob Casey Sr. "guru" ad from 1986 the other day.

Dudes like Carville, Begala and Shrum stomping on a man's heart and using a fine sitar background to do it. Needless to say, I was impressed.

I thought this was the "Dems will lose 687687 seats article." They certainly get one thing wrong on the above - the "knows what a congressman does" piece on ol Congressgar.

With my mom's move last year, my domicile (and, thus, voting address) is now in Boehner's district. I confirmed the local board of elections received my absentee ballot last Friday.

FYI to Chad, FU, etc - there will be many disappointed liberal chicks who might need some "soothing" at this thing.

Went to vote this morning and the materials manager had not yet shown up. Was running an HOUR late. Meaning, that there were no ballots or machines available for me to vote. Meaning that I could not vote this morning, nor could several others.
Just fucking wrong.

Not before I'm done with work. And they'll be closed by then.

Yeah, but I work 35 mi. from home, so it's pretty damn impractical.

I think this is a state by state thing - so of course where I'm from, you don't gets no special times on the clock to be out voting....unless the bosses support a candidate, and then they will have the company bus take the lot of you there, with lunch, and a half pint wrapped in a $20 Bill.

I was the only person voting at my precinct at 8:30am. It was a little odd to be the only person under 65 in the room, but I got in and out of there real fast without any hassles.
I figured it might be fairly busy since it is only a block from the State Capitol along with all the major government offices, union headquarters and non-profit agency buildings nearby.

I'll be voting after work. Which is fortunate. Since my polling-station is an elementary school.

At least it won't be a technical violation of my terms, since school won't be in session.

the ballot I just filled out may have contained the worst slate of candidates and ballot measures in the history of this state. democrats that just linger around and do nothing, republican wack jobs with no experience other than running various business into the ground, terribly written ballot measures that are seemingly completely unnecessary.

GOOD TIMES! AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

Yeah, at least half of the ballot initiatives here were written by a PR firm for whatever industry was in on it.

i left the house a few minutes earlier than normal, walked down the block to the polling place and still somehow caught my regular train to work. i don't think voter turnout will be massive where i live this year. the longest wait was after i had a ballot in my hand waiting for a spot to open so i could fill it out.

Most of ours were written by local governments, freeing them up from burdensome rules to do more of whatever the fuck they want to do.

And what they want to do is give more tax breaks to real estate developers.
