are you saying the Eagles stole one from the Colts?

And now we have his protege, Jason GARrett. MEH.

GARrett is only a placeholder until Gruden or Cowher gets brought in after the lockout.

He would have to go AT LEAST 6-2 in the last 8 for Jerry to even briefly consider keeping him beyond this season.

I have a better chance of ending up weighing less than Squirggle by Christmas.

I'm kind of with Krauth on these 2 guys stinking up the joint. I'm not sure they are the answer.

It was mentioned earlier but how do you guys feel about Brian Billick? Personally, I like the guy.

Also, Jerry might try to throw money at Bob Stoops...If he wants to go college though, there's really only one choice:

Miles would get gangfucked by the Dallas press corps. He wouldn't last a damn day.

Me, Myself, Personally, Ol Gar here, I hope they go after Saban. Because Bobbo is right - they gon' suck til Jerry is gone, so they might as well fuck with Bammer. Hell, maybe they can go after CORIH and do Adams' dirty work for us ;)

I would bet he is calling Saban, Stoops, and Jimmy Harbaugh on the regullah.

That's a great question, jewels. The last Cowboys game I watched was in the playoffs last year.

Edit: before last night that is.

Like most things, I think it's a combination of a lot of things.

Besides being great front runners the last few years I think their O-line is overrated which doesn't help their, at times, decent backfield. Romo hasn't really shown to be the vocal leader like other star QB's. The hiring of Wade Phillips was always viewed as a safe yet stale choice. Roy Williams is officially a bust.

Still, with all that, they've got a lot talent over there. I guess sometimes shit just goes to hell.

Sorry, FT. Although, as a Packers fan, it was fun to watch. You are welcome for getting Wade fired.

You know something is fucked up when a 250 pound corn fed white boy (Matthews) runs for a 65 yard fumble return.

I was thinking about you and actually felt bad at some point. Hopefully, the rest of the season will go better for you my friend.

And how bout that Pack?

The funny thing to me about the Cowboy's situation is: Quarterback hurt? Backup sucks? Team quitting on coach? Coach fired? Season over before Halloween?

For the Cowboys this is national news. For the Falcons, this has happened 6 or 7 times just in recent memory.

HA! I texted with Burger last night (he was talking shit about FF) and I said that I'm cautiously optimistic about the Falcs.

6-2 is great and we're getting love in the media but anyone who has ever followed this team since it's inception knows that the collective psyche of our fanbase is a fragile thing.

We've seen it all go up in flames too many times.

Thanks, Deena. I'd much rather see the Pack in the Super Bowl than the Giants or Eagles!

My college choice would be Jim Harbaugh, based not only on what he's done at Stanford, but his brother has done a great job leading the Ravens and (perhaps most importantly) Jim played under and learned the coaching ropes from DITKA.

Veteran players in serious decline sooner than expected (Barber, Columbo, Newman).
High draft picks not panning out after showing some initial promise (Spencer, Jenkins, Felix Jones).
Key injuries to valuable players (Romo, Kosier).
Once reliable players inexplicably suffering brain farts and generally giving half-hearted efforts (Witten, Davis, Austin, Sensabaugh).
Guys who keep trying, but can't overcome being surrounded by turds (Ware, Bryant, Free).
Worthless punks who shouldn't even be on the roster in the first place (Olshansky, Ball, Bennett).
Also, KITNA

Basically, it's simply a case of a team burdened by high expectations letting early struggles snowball into full-blown QUIT.

See my post about him a page or two ago. He'd definitely bring some leadership to the team, he doesn't put up with crap, and he'd probably go ga-ga over having Romo as a QB. Its a good fit on paper, but then you factor in the Jones is pretty bullheaded, and so is Billick and *boom* you've got an ticking time bomb.

Man, whomever it was that let that 4th quarter punt slide between his outstretched hands like a basketball through a hoop deserves to have his ass kicked. Unbelievable. If Tom Landry was alive he'd throw his fedora at him.

that was dez bryant

definitely a bonehead play, but he's also one of the very few guys on the team who's still trying

Maybe my father is Tom Landry. That would explain my strong chin and my love for the flex defense. I wonder if I would call him "dad" or "coach". Nah who am I kidding? I would call him "sir."

Landry is such a God in Texas that when they had those Fedora patches on the jerseys, they wouldn't even sell them to fans. It was outta respect.

It helped me this week. The guy I'm facing this week has Aaron Rogers who is on bye, and his backup was Chad Henne. Score.

Yeah, whats happening down there, Stone? I mean, they look pretty decent when they played us. I don't think its time to start hitting the panic button just yet, but this is kinda a perplexing move. In my opinion, let him play through it. If the players still respect him, then he can pull through imo.

the bigger issue that is being ignored is that our OC, Dan Henning is a fucking MORON.
with the way Henning is running (ruining?) our offense, Pennington actually makes more sense.
the thing with Henne is he is supposed to be a "strong-armed" qb. that's why they went out and got BMarshall. and what have they done? dink and dunk, make-no-mistakes, chad pennington-ish offense thru 8 games. Fuck, they don't even look Marshalls way in the red zone. i know for a fact that he can be every bit the player that Megatron is if they just toss the ball up to him.

More troubling to me today is the signing of Al Harris and subsequent cutting of Jason Allen. Allen is a guy who we deemed good enough to be our starting CB for the first 7 weeks of the season. two weeks later, he isn't even good enough to be a backup? cut for a 36 year old coming off a major injury? if that doesn't tell you how shitty our CB situation must be.... and this signing comes a week after we take a pass on Randy Moss because he is "too old"?

Henning and Saparano need to go.

and no disrespect to your Ravens, FR...they were clearly the better team, but the second half of that game was the worst we have played all year.
