Other than Terrell Suggs, that D is mostly living on its reputation right now.

Interesting game plan by the Falcs to throw the ball around like the Eagles or Pats...I was averting my eyes in places waiting for disaster but damn if they didn't step the fuck up. Roddy White is carrying this team offensively like no receiver I can remember since TO did with the Eagles their SB season, and, if not for that drop that almost cost us the game, was probably the best player on the field tonight.

The Falcons goal right now has to be the same as the Saints last year: Win enough games where the only thing between you and the Super Bowl is winning two HOME games. I want no part of the Meadowlands in January, and god help me if I have to watch another playoff disaster in Philly.

Absolutely. We will be a tough out if teams have to come here. Just got to stay healthy.

I'll be honest though, I thought it was over after they scored and they showed Ray Lewis getting his guys jacked up on the sideline. This was the kind of win you look back on after a great season.

For me this was the stat of the game: 8 for 12 on 3rd down conversions

They couldn't get us off the field for some crucial drives that ate up a bunch of clock.

Also, the fumble on the punt in the 1st half was huge. Gave us 3 more but more importantly took away a series for Flacco to get in rhythm because, let's be honest, we had no answer for him in the 4th.

The drops by Roddy and Tony G were a bit troublesome because they could've cost us. Still, nice to nitpick after a win.

I thought the defense looked tired but apparently (or in addition to) the Ravens were running a bunch of shit that nobody had seen on film.

Coach Smith said this morning that they put in that pass heavy game plan for this game back during the summer because of the short week and whatnot. That's fucking crazy to me.

Well, if anyone outside of Rex Ryan knows that Ravens D, it'd be Mike Smith. Also, how about all that talk about the heart monitors, etc?

May or may not be an advantage but it's certainly forward thinking which is something this franchise hasn't been in years prior to Blank coming in.

The current stability of this franchise is something I'm as happy about as the wins.

The D has issues, but last night it had some gaping holes. Oddly enough, Suggs has been relatively quiet all season--and here he is making a splash last night. Who knows. We've got a problem with inconsistent play. The D one week is the boss, and then the next week its the offense. Biggest issue imo is our secondary. You just cannot send people like Ledarius Webb up against marquee WRs. Just cannot happen. Wilson, Carr, Washington? Dang.

Also, let's not forget there was some shoddy ref'ing. At least one Roddy TD shouldn't have been.

FORWARD thinking? Shit, what about just THINKING? Not much of that before MISTER Blank bought the team.

I was drunk before kickoff and didn't watch a down, but Judge and them apparently got it CRUNK in the Dome. He called me at 11AM yesterday heading up tailgate.

I can't speak for Bobbo, but I certainly like what I saw in Garrett's first week debut. I also like Dez Bryant getting BUCK out there.

I can only hope they don't reel off 6 wins or something, because that would affect draft status on an already busted season - let's get AJ Green in there next to Dez B!

I never really paid much attention to Garrett before - I knew he was the coach in waiting and that the requisite media outlets would give all the verbal blowjobs they could once he ascended.

I like his style - he is apparently the Hubert Humphrey of coaches - The Happy Warrior - and I thought it was funny that he made sure to toss that flag like an actual pass on that Bryant TD.

Like ol' GAR, I was definitely impressed with Garrett. But one game doesn't make a trend. Let's see how fired up he gets them to face the lowly Lions next week. To me, that will be very telling.

Knock on wood but if the Eagles and Falcons play each other in the playoffs, it's going to be a goddamn circus down here.

Glad I wasn't facing Vick in fantasy this week, he had somewhere in the neighborhood of 53 -60 pts, depending on how a league is set up.

65.32 in the Obner league. (I was on the wrong side of the beating.)

Yeah my QB (Kyle Orton) had 46 points...I thought that was pretty good. Nope.

Weird. Just found out why Atlanta Falcons have a gold stripe down the throwback jerseys, that were an homage to the 60s version. Apparently, since the colors are essentially UGA colors, they wanted to shout out to GT as well.

Freddie Mitchell; wide receiver; Eagles; 2001-04: Though probably not the worst receiver in NFL history, Mitchell is definitely the worst receiver in NFL history to talk nonstop trash. After the Patriots defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX, Bill Belichick, who never utters anything of note, said of Mitchell: "All he does is talk. He's terrible, and you can print that. I was happy when he was in the game."

79. Charles Rogers; wide receiver; Detroit Lions; 2003-05: The No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft admitted he loved marijuana more than touchdowns. The end result: 36 catches and four touchdowns in three seasons.

Yeah I went into Monday Night with a ten point lead. Opponent had not only Vick, but also DeSean Jackson. I lost on the first play. Later, my asshole started bleeding.
