Kollektiv Turmstrasse: Rebellion der Träumer

Mostly downtempo release from German collective that has been producing for about a decade and is just now releasing their own music. Relaxed stuff with nice melodies and sounds throughout. A smattering of vocal tracks. 9 interludes between the tracks blend the thing into a more seamless whole even thought here is some good variety throughout.

let me know if you find one. I've come up empty. Granted it did come out yesterday so I'll probably buy it.

Dexy's Midnight Runners: Too-Rye-Ay

Totally unfair in my opinion that this band gets tossed in the one-hit-wonder bin. Yeah yeah, this album has Come on Eileen, but it also has a great mix of celtic folk and soul trough out. Highlights include tracks like Let's Make This Precious and Jackie Wilson Said. It's really a damn good album from start to finish, hit or no hit. Their debut, Searching for the Young Soul Rebels, is really good too.

Yeah, that one is good. And those guys are fun to see live. I haven't seen them for a while, but they used to stop by this old shithole in town and play for about nothing couple times a year for quite a while. Good shit.

Truth.

There have been two hands' worth of days in the past two weeks where I've played "What Dying Was For" at least four times in a row on the way to work. And I've been hooked on it since before its release date.

"Going bright eyed into the slaughter..."

They still seem to play Off Broadway fairly often. They were here this past Monday night. Work has been kicking my ass and I couldn't make it, though. One of these days.

Kinda a weird progression...but then again, it makes sense.
