Loved that Andre Johnson/Cortland Finnegan brawl. Loved that NBC said "let's go to New York for an update" to show it.

Bob Probert would've been proud.

Still a good game. Pretty evenly matched. Rodgers doesn't fumble and it might be a different game. Realistically the D held them to 13 points in ATL....not too shabby.

I will say that i think considering Green Bays injuries that they look pretty strong. Not many teams can lose their starting RB, TE, RT, MLB and S and still complete this well.

I don't see GB going anywhere this year with that (lack of) running game. Really good team though and I definitely like Rodgers--dude is a straight baller. Is Mike McCarthy the most unknown coach in the NFL? I swear, I can never picture the guy in my head and when I hear his name I still picture Mike Sherman for some reason.

Great job by the Falcs neutralizing Clay Mathews--dude was a total non factor.

4 straight games by the Falcons without a turnover which is insane to me.

Surprised by how much they dominated the Eagles? Yes. But I wasn't surprised they won, I knew they stood a decent chance.

Obviously, every team has injuries at this time of year, and its a lame excuse. Still, I think that Bears/Eagles game is totally different if Asante Samuel plays.

The Falcons v Packers game is easily the best NFL set-to I've ever seen in person.

The game turned on the Packers first series of the first half, with the piss-poor spot on Rodgers's slide. That drive sustained, well... Let's just say Yail wouldn't have known to laugh or cry after a 50 yard TD to Jennings.

Jennings is a monster on my Fantasy team so I was quietly rooting for him to have a big day.

Yeah, the breaks just went the way of the Falcons. The spot on Rodgers slide, Tony Gonzalez's non-catch that Mccarthy should have challenged (EVERY questionable play should be a booth review, btw...enough of this challenge bs) and the fumble by Rodgers on the 1 yard line.

It was a great game by two of the best teams in the league though, like they said on the broadcast, the last team with the ball would win. Also, The Falcons actually have a running game, which helps.

Packers got a pretty significant break by not getting called for delay of game on the fourth down TD pass, but otherwise, I'd agree with you: Some definite breaks for the Falcons and a HUGE mistake by McCarthy there.

I do disagree with you that everything should be a booth review: You've got a billion dollar organization: hire somebody to accurately make that decision and get it to the coach. Booth reviews can really slow down the pace of a game IMHO (happens in SEC games all the damn time), and the risk/reward of the challenge system adds one more element to the chess match.

I felt like I was watching an NBA game. Home-field trumped all.

I hear what you're saying, I would just like to see the decision to be out of the coaching staff's hands, and into the official's hands. If it's a play that is too tough to call in real time, they should be able to go to the video.

I would add that the potential delay of game call was on the fourth down before the touchdown pass. So essentially it would have made it 4th and 6 instead of 4th and 1. That call wouldn't have ended the drive...unlike the Gonzalez catch at the end of the half.

Still......despite that call they took advantage of all their opportunities......(which great teams do)... hats off to the Falcons...i wouldn't be thrilled to have to go to ATL and play them in the playoffs.
