there are better songs on "love is overtaking me" than i remember. e-stone, i'd check out the latter half of this record for light shadows of "keepin' up".

Wild Combination is definitely one of the top 3 best music documentaries I've seen.

Finally took a night to watch this last night. Excellent documentary perspective on someone we're only really learning about posthumously. Even having been into his music for a while, I don't feel I knew anything about him other than the usual touchpoints. It's really insightful to see the footage of him performing. It has given me a better appreciation of his songwriting/playing, where before it was more so of his sound; and seeing how committed he was to both elements and how naturally song and sonics blended out from him in performance. Having an understanding of the personality that was woven through everything he played is invaluable to my love of Arthur Russell. And I think that Allen Ginsberg should provide testimony in every documentary ever made.
