Yep, all I hear are raves about this from listeners, but everything I read about it says I'd hate it. I may cave and give it a shot myself.

I love DER TPK for reasons I've yet to understand, but I feel as though I'm getting closer. German Reggae is loose, droning, visceral, mechanical, rigid, maddening and yet, it captures fits of catchy collective thought. Remove Bunker Wolf's foreign newspeak delivered from a echo-y loudspeaker and it's dudes ripping through the revolt of punk from its Stooges blues to the PiL dubs and the Mark E. Smith wired weirdness. The separation is DER TPK reduce their influences into a pummeled, droned feedback.

Bunker Wolf is the final connecting dot that took the San Fransisco kids from Detroit to London to Manchester and sequestered in Berlin. Wolf's German commands will either alarm your neighbors or earn their respect, as they draw the same connections made thus far, only to be thrown off by the public service announcements over the fantastic noise.

German Reggae is out January 1. Look for the vinyl soon on Holidays Records.

I've seen this listed as 2010, included on a best of 2010 list, but the only official release I can find is 1/1/11 on Holiday records. So fuck it, It's awesome, with the perfect drum sound for me.

I thought it sucked hard. This is the definition of middlin' indie rock, with the only bright spot I could find at 02.29 - 02.44 on Only One. Fuck these douchebags. A lot of people on here will dig this.

I like this album. It's nice but nothing I'm super excited about. Vocals remind me of Olivia Tremor Control. Actually, it sounds like if OTC did a dream pop album instead of the neo-psych pop they're semi-known for.

I know this will probably be dismissed by a lot of people but I love it. I've loved them since I heard their EP. Some will think it's rote female indie rock. But I hear the sounds 50's/60's girl groups with a modern twist.

What makes it better than their past output? Admittedly, I haven't really paid any attention to them since their debut.

they've incorporated more strings, giving their music a more epic feel, continuing on from their previous album. overall, the album has this huge sound that i love, total BSP. not bombastic, but huge, emotional, loud, noisy songs.
