Q Magazine readers recently voted Radiohead’s OK Computer as the best album of the past 25 years. No big surprise there, right? The band also took three other places in the top 30 – compiled to mark 25 years of the magazine – with The Bends at eight, Kid A at 18 and In Rainbows at 23. 13 years ago, Q Magazine had a similar poll where OK Computer was also named best album of all time. Now that is staying power.

Full list after the jump.

(thanks to Peter)

The Top 30 albums

1. OK Computer – Radiohead

2. Nevermind – Nirvana

3. (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? – Oasis

4. Definitely Maybe – Oasis

5. Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not – Arctic Monkeys

6. The Joshua Tree – U2

7. The Stone Roses – The Stone Roses

10. Black Holes And Revelations – Muse

Been discussing this list at SOMB. It's really pretty bad. Three Muse albums, all ahead of Appetite for Destruction? Arctic Monkeys at five? Worst KoL album? And as was mentioned there, no female, black, or solo artists.

I burned myself out so bad on OK Computer, that I still cannot listen to it...Been a good 3 years now...
Still in my top 5 of all time, but in no hurry to play it any time soon...weird and sad.

3 of those albums would make my list, and everything else would be far, far, far away from the top 25.

I can deal with quite a few of the records in this list, but The Killers? Seriously.

This is exactly what I thought going down the list and even though I still love 'Mr. Brightside', it's not enough to make me think it belongs on a top albums list.

Fine there's some pretty good albums on there but over the last 25 years? The readers could not be more sQ'd, but I dunno Q so that could be the reason. I guess its like expecting Kanye to be on a No Depression list.

I agree with Nevermind, Whats the story morning glory, stone roses, aeroplane over the sea, Holy Bible and possibly parklife and loveless. Most of the rest of it looks pretty silly.

Further proof that the "masses are asses", AMIRITE????

At any rate, I think it would be more fun to just rank the albums they gave.

Please tell me it said "Green Bay" on the actual list. It seems fitting.

If you like GnR, which it looks like you do, you should definetly listen to The Holy Bible. It's like GnR but with interesting ideas.

I was trying to come up with something, but that was the perfect retort....

That reminds me I haven't played UYI for awhile. 'Estranged' is one of my Christmas songs.

Do you know who reads Q magazine?

Wankers.

'OK Computer' is only the best album of the past 25 years if you have been fucked in the ear by your step dad.
