Damn

U2 - I still haven't found.....

and i'm skipping it because i'm in no mood for this.

which led to

The Veils - Lavinia

who is highly underrated on this board. Great debut and his cover of "Clap Hands" is fabulous.

didn't i tell you to leave flavor flav alone knocker.

Built to Spill - Fling

I owned 3 BTS albums before moving to Boise. They played live in the park (my first time seeing them) and i raced to Record Exchange (buzzing from the beer garden) to throw down $65 to get everything i didn't own.

Pixies - the holiday song

my sister gave me doolittle and bossanova on tape when i was in 7th grade. I payed her back last year by getting us tickets and VIP passes to the show in Boise. SHe flew in from Kentucky. I annoyed a member of AIR while he was urinating. Ran into the lead singer from the thrills at our hotel.

All in Boise. Great stuff

Tha Flaming Lips - Psychiatric explorations of the fetus with needles

Was visiting my sister in Seattle in 98 or 99 and had the choice to see an all ages show of Bis & Atari Teenage Riot or Robyn Hitchcock, Sebadoh and the Flaming Lips. I picked the Flaming Lips because it wasn't all ages and i had just turned 21. I made the right choice. During the Soft Bulletin tour. Got drunk with my sister and we grabbed some nasty Mc'ds on the way back up to Capital Hill to drink at bars beer garden out back. We got thoroughly torn up.

great times.

Metric - Wet Blanket

From a CMJ comp. I think i'll skip it.

Built to Spill - In the morning

I hated PFNO when i first got it. I put it in my 60 disc changer and forgot about it. Over the next month or two i would find myself checking the player to see what great song was playing. BTS. Real grower.

Blur - Tracy Jacks

I got into Blur late. My sister finally turned me. When song #2 came out i liked it but wanted the sound from Park Life. Next album i purchased was the debut and then 13 came out. I still don't have Modern Life..... - should i remedy this. I like everything of there's except the album with Country Life. Can't stand it actually.

Radiohead - Exit Music (for a film)

I once said on CMJ that i would want this played at my funeral. Someone brought up "watch you choke" line and asked what that meant.

I didn't know. Bought OK Computer the day it came out and my friends listen to it shortly after. Then only liked the song "with the cow bell".

Shudder to Think - Hot One

One of the best tunes on the superb Velvet Goldmine soundtrack. Highly underrated soundtrack. Everyone should own it. If you don't you're letting youself down and the native community of the Canary Islands. Don't let them down people.

The Chameleons - John, I'm only dancing

ANother album my sister got me one Christmas that i initially dismissed and later came to love.

They don't get enough respect here. One of the best british bands of the eighties.

This album is a top 10-15 all-time of mine.

Joy Division - A Means to an End

I didn't get in JD until about 7-8 years ago. I'm not sure why or how but they were never on my radar. I always liked New Order from growing up in England but i never realized the connection until i started researching music when i was a bit older.

just skipped

BTS - Big Dipper (acoustic)
and
Coldplay - Yellow

Now - The Verve - A Northern Soul

One of my sisters favorite bands. When i finally got into them after Urban Hymns was released my sister explained how she saw them a few times in 93 or 94 in Oxford. She has too many good stories.

i would've loved to have seen them back then. that's back when he was "mad richard" and dropping acid before every show. i have a video of an old verve concert (92 i think) from before a storm in heaven was out. mad richard is completely out of his mind. but they still sounded awesome. one of the best gravity grave's i've heard.

I have the years wrong. My sister saw them before a storm in heaven came out but after their first ep. She moved to Germany in 1992 to go to school. I'll have to get more specifics from her.
