Both squads wanted it, and played hard. I heard some media types saying it came down to Brees v. Ryan in terms of clutch playmaking. I dont think they were watching the same game as I was. Both Ds looked like they had been starved for a week and then fed steaks seasoned with gunpowder.

yeah that was the epitome of a good, hard-fought football game.

Tasting the bitter pill today. Falcs still have all their goals in front of them but I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I didn't want that one.

Great game though. Agree that the D's were on fire but also the offenses had some really bad moments. Turner's rare fumble, the botched snap (REALLY?? What week is it??), and Brees turning into late-era Brett Favre on that pick six.

Still, basically a playoff game.

If ever there was a Sunday to get the NFL RedZone channel this would be it.

Also, there won't be much productivity in the Atlanta work force today if the place I was in is any indication.

It was absolutely packed. Standing room only.

I think that most of the really bad moments that the offenses had were dictated by the D's. GAR's starved and chained comparison works well. A couple of observations: Brees needs to clean up his decision-making of late, Graham has basically sent Shockey to the pine, where was Colston all night, couldn't believe the amount of pressure the Falcs consistently brought, turnovers canceled each other out, a round three would be epic.

The key to stopping Brees is pressure up the middle, which both Atlanta and Baltimore did a good job of. New Orleans's interior line play has been disappointing all year. May have something to do with a complete lack of a running game though. I think Chris Ivory in the playoffs will be a much needed boost and take some pressure off of Brees.

Graham has a ridiculous amount of upside. Antonio Gates type potential. Good thing because Shockey looks slow these days.

Both Devery and Colston dropped balls they need to catch in these kind of spots.

I think this "Rise Up" slogan of The Falcs is my least favorite in sports history.

Awful. Worst shit since Shirley Franklin decided to make the city's slogan "Every Day is Opening Day" and employed Dallas Austin to write "The A-T-L" as the theme song and it was mocked mercilessly.

Much like "WHAT DO FALCONS DO??" was at the bar last night.

Yeah, it was essentially a chess match between a ghoul with tinted glasses and a dude with a mustache.

Turner's fumble and the inability to convert The Predator's INT into even a first down, let alone points, bothered me all fucking day.

Holy shit, we have the #2 seed and a first round bye for the playoffs!

The likely scenario in the NFC will probably be something like this:

#1 Falcons
#2 Bears
#3 Eagles
#4 Rams (lol)
#5 Saints
#6 Packers

1st round:
Falcs - bye
Bears - bye

#3 vs #6: Packers at Eagles---> Packers
#4 vs #5: Rams at Saints ----> Saints

2nd round: I think it goes like this
#1 vs winner of #3 and #6: Packers at Falcons ---> Falcons
#2 vs winner of #4 and #5: Saints at Bears ----> Bears

NFC Championship

Bears at Falcons ----> pick 'em

can't wait, really did not want to play Green Bay twice

Pretty sure that Seahawks/Rams game this weekend is for the division and a playoff spot. I'd say it's a toss up.

Also, if the Bears decide to actually play this weekend and knock out the Pack, a Tampa Bay win over the Saints would put the Bucs in.

That would be 3 teams from the NFC South in the playoffs. When's the last time something like that happened?

if seattle beats the rams, they would be the worst playoff team in pro sports history - not based on record, just based on TEH suX0rz

Prolly thinking Rams/Seahawks is a bye
