I know it's been a while now, but I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around Darrin having a girlfriend. Not that he shouldn't be able to get one, as he is quite the handsome Scot, but he's just always struck me as an intentionally solidary human.

90%?

If you're a DBT fan in the Gom this is a pretty nice treat IMO.

Also, cool indie venue to boot.

Thanks Ben. I can actually assemble a crew of animals/monsters to hit this with me.

I'll say 65% because while I do think you will go, I also know that life throws a lot of curveballs.

Maybe 75% since the election is over.

Yeah I was gonna say like 80%. But I will say if this same thing came here 100% I wouldn't go. Cause I am TEH GARBAGE. But I'm pretty comfortable with that.

I miss almost everything, but this is The Drive By Truckers. Me missing this, when that theatre is @ 2 miles from my house would be like you missing Sting doing a live treatise kn tantric sex or something.

Nah, he'd just throw on Ten Summoner's Tales, jack it into a gym sock and call it a night.

Is it possible to hit 3 DBT shows in 3 days? Yes. 12/30 NYC, 12/31 NYC, and 1/1 Philly. Dang. That 12/30 was just announced at the Brooklyn Bowl.

Oh, and the DVD release to the doc about them: The Secret To A Happy Ending is coming out as well.

I'm finally getting a chance to see this for "One night only" at the Belcourt here in Nashville. It's screening the same night at the record release gig at 40 Watt, so looks like I won't make it after all (shocker).

Looking forward to it.

Last night DBT debuted Go Go Boots live in its entirety. Unfortunately, couldn't make the jaunt down to Athens, but from what I hear it sounds much better live. Apparently the groove is deeper with Brad and Shonna kinda taking a bigger part of the show. Glad to hear that. Based on all the negative stuff that was being said about the album I was a little worried. Still haven't listened to the leak.

I too have resisted the leak, I managed to get a vinyl copy of the Used To Be Cop/Thanksgiving Filter 10" they released for record store day, which I rather like and I like what i have hear through to Go-Go Boots webisodes at the website. I reserve judgement until I have a proper copy on release day.

But right now I am listening to Townes Van Zandt, which always makes me not like anyone elses music.

As soon as you posted, I knew it was about this - it was all on Twitter/Failbook this morning. Cool nonetheless. BRING HIM BACK, DAMNIT!

Nice. I still haven't seen it. Ordered it on DVD with the new record though. Still bummed that the snow last yr ruined the screening with Patterson, Cooley, and the director at AFI.

Yeah, and it was great. I was kind of hoping they would delve more into why the fuck they kept ol Waterhead Shonna in the band and let Jason go. It seems to me they should have ditched her and kept him post-divorce. I really think I hate her at this point.

I definitely don't like her songs, and would still rather see ol' four-eyes Earl back there grooving with his receding hairline. On the other hand, Isbell's songs and guitar playing were some of the best.
