The Notwist - Pilot

Album i bought due to the praise on CMJ from KPH. Love it.

Guy at the local record store corrected my on their name saying that they're the "NOT - wist" instead of "No-twist" (how i pronounce it). He wasn't very subtle. "Oh you mean the "not-wist"?

I see him at all the good shows that come here.

i think he's (richard ashcroft) a prime example of a case where drugs made him a better artist. he got clean and now he blows.

same with ian brown.

i love Ian Browns second solo record - the dolphins are monkeys album. That thing rocks. My sister and i started dying when he saw his performance at Glastonbury in 2000 with this album. i bought it the next day and it holds a special place in my collection.

The New Pornographers - July Jones

My sister and I were pounding beers and dancing to this song back in early February when i went to visit her in Kentucky.

i turned her onto the NP's. Paying her back for all those years of steering me in the right direction.

underworld - dark & long

another tune that my sister and i played while dancing and getting tore.

I'm the guy who saw Trainspotting in the theatre and went out and bought the soundtrack the next day and every underworld album i could get my hands on. i can't front.

Got into Elliott Smith after Good Will Hunting. Again i can't front.

Got into them because of a cmj comp. Not much else to add to this one. Great song.

Rogue Wave - Nourishment Nation

Read a review somewhere and bought this. i like it.

Destroyer - Bad Arts - The best destroyer song. Hands down. I'd fight anyone who disagrees and i'd lose that fight.

Oh well. I'm off work. Hope someone enjoyed my random nonsense. Off to buy beer.
