I say that I'm sneaking outta work early to see The Dears do an in-store performance at Amoeba (didja read that, Dov?). And, tomorrow, I'm seeing The Dears open for The Soundtrack of Our Lives. Hopefully, the TSOOL singer doesn't fondle me throughout the show again.

SHIT! I totally forgot about the Dears @ Amoeba.... and to think, I've been sitting here doing NOTHING at work. Too late now, the 5 north will be horrendous. *sigh* Anyway, I'm burnt from going out this week so it's probably best to stay in tonight.

Tonight- Resting and ordering pizza from Lou Malnati's and read the book I'm reading.

Tomorrow- Hang out. Charlie goes to Michigan for 24 hrs with my dad. So I"ll be doing nothing.

Then it's the Riviera record release show with the pilots playing too. So I'll have some drinks to numb my pain and have a lot of fun and see peoples I haven't seen in forever.

What the...? There's a story I musta missed out on when it first circulated.

This weekend I'll be watching the "Office" 2nd season marathon on BBC America & the Final Four. Maybe I'll have time to squeeze my new "Battle Royale 2" DVD in there.

And I'll be spinning some new CD's...including the Graham Coxson ( :D ) , a new Jason Ringenberg bootleg, & some stuff a buddy in CT sent me.

i'm staying home tonight too. i tried to take a nap before seeing sin city last night but everyone in the world decided that it was a good time to call me so i only slept for like 45 minutes. then i didn't go to bed until 4:30am and had to be to work at 7:30. i did sleep for like an hour & 1/2 in my car today but that hardly put a dent in all the sleep i'm gonna get tonight. plus there's going to be crazy rain tomorrow so work will definitely suck.

At their last show in LA, Ebbett hugged me not once but FOUR times during their set. He hugged no one else, just me. After the second time, it was getting kinda awkward, but I went along with it and hugged him back. After the show, I received a lot of odd looks from people passing by and non-stop teasing from my friends.

And...damn, you received Graham's CD already?? Wow! That was quick!

Yeah...I thought that was kinda speedy, too!

That TSOOL story is, uh, odd. When I saw them he had a terrible cold, & was flingin' snot everywhere. So I think you still got the better end of the deal there. :P

Damn, girl!! You go! ;)

Btw, Alex, I managed to briefly meet The Dears last night. When I approached the drummer, I asked him, "Hey, are you familiar with a band named Marlowe outta Montreal?" His eyes lit up and says, "YES!! I'm good friends with Michael!" "What about Alex?", says I. "Yes, Alex too!" I then lied and said, "She says 'hello'!" When I got to the singer (why can't I remember their names?? sheesh!), I told him..."Alex from Marlowe says 'hello'". He looks at me as if to ask "how do you know them?", then started laughing and said, "No kidding, that's funny!" "Tell her I say "hi" too!" Nice kids they are. Excited about seeing them again tonight. )
