Sierra nevada isn't crap beer.... dat goog. And as for the high life... it's economies of scale. That case was $9, and really high life ain't too bad. Plus it's loaded with the calories I need. And it makes me feel more like a WI native - when in Rome, as they say.

Ya know what? I used to think the same of Sierra Nevada until recently, that is. My tastes have changed cuz I had to throw out half of what I was drinking the other night -- it tasted atrocious! I think I've become more of a darker ale gal.

As for Miller...maybe it's cuz I live just down the road from one of their breweries. Me no likey. But when it comes to cheap, I guess that's the road to take. I'll take Miller over Bud any day!

You know, tania, I got to this wierd place in the last 3 or 4 years where I suddenly no longer see High Life as being in the same boat as Lite, or any Bud product. I can't put my finger on it persactly, but for some reason it just seems to have snuck into the Good category, and there it stays. Maybe it was my days as a jaded, townie hipster in Athens that lead me to it... Tall boys of Low Life and PBR were the only acceptable tongue-in-cheek ironic beverages.

What the hell is Sierra Nevada, I've never heard of it. Is it some specific yankee beer or is it a brewery?

If yankee beers are made in California, then yes.

By the website, it looks like a delicious brew. Canada, as you may have heard, is fond of its beers. I've literally never heard of Sierra Nevada except mentioned here, but it seems like a good choice. Maybe when I get out west I can find it as an import or something. Strange that the LCBO doesn't have it.
