Way back in October/November I posted a quote from Albini about SY signing with Geffen in '91. Albini was anti the signing and felt it set a dangerous precedent. Anyway, Thurston Moore has let his opinion be heard:

Quote:
"Steve has opinions based on a myopic point of view which of course does not extend to the manufacturers of his pants."

So. I'm not sure what this means, but I hope this back-and-forth continues.

Married Congressman poses as lobbyist on dating site, takes shirtless photo with his congressional-issued blackberry

This is one step short of him taking a pic with him pointing to his mouth and holding a sign that says $5!

Received my disabled vet license plates today. Pretty sure I am required to eat at either Luby's, Golden Corral, or Furr's now.

Oh man, y'all ain't got a Shoney's?

Did not know you were disabled -- if you can share, what happened?

I would kill for a Shoney's breakfast out here.

All of the little things from my previous life (7 years as a PJ) just add up. 30% for positive PTSD screen, 15% for hearing loss that they attributed to my first tour in Iraq back in summer of '03, 10% for restricted movement in arms (3 times broken collarbone during jumps--which led to my mandatory retrain into intel--which actually turned out to be the best thing for me now that I have transitioned to civilian world), and 10% for the piece of rebar that went through my right leg in Afghanistan back in '02.

I've drug my feet on getting all of my VA paperwork done until the last year when my wife found out all of the benefits I qualify for and handled most of the paperwork while I was gone this time. I still feel guilty for using a lot of my benefits as I get around just fine--there are kids ten years younger than me that are in a lot worse shape and really need the help just to get by you know.

Damn dude. You shouldn't feel bad at all. They owe you that damn money, and you're taking it isn't depriving anyone of their benefits. Plus, the VA screws so many people around when they apply that it's not funny. Glad you're getting the help.

Thankfully, not my district, but the next one to the north.

How soon before Fox News gets his party wrong on the caption?

Yeah, PTSD is no joke, and not to be a negative nancy, but even if that stuff isn't bothering you now it could later on. Its noble to not feel entitled, but if its offered up and you qualify take it. As a taxpayer, I insist. That's not something I'm gonna complain about on taxday, and I doubt other Americans would either.
