Was watching that game last night. 4 fights in less than 4 minutes. 2 goals in less than 2 minutes. 3 in less than 10 minutes and 4 for the Bs before the period was over.

I fucking love the Boston Bruins.

It's amazing the NHL has never had a Tysonesque ear-biting incident.

Craig Conroy announced his retirement today. You couldn't meet a nicer guy, in an uglier shirt.

Oh. Yikes.

It appears that Vancouver is making a case for the president's trophy. So, that means they won't make it past the first round, so, as long Dallas wins the division they won't have to see the Canucks. Everyone else is beatable in a 7 game series in the West. :)

I think they're pretty consistent. I am just glad Lucic has had a full season so far. Proving his worth, IMO. I love that fuckin' guy.

Thomas had a rough one last night, but hey I'll give him some leeway given his 1.80 GAA and 9.46, 7 Shutout performance thus far this year. haha

it's neat to see Claude Giroux becoming the player I expected and hoped he'd become. He is so much fun to watch.

So Radcliffe, and other Obner Canuck fanatics, how are you feeling about the playoffs? Getting FUCKING STOKED!!!??

I know rads in particular doesn't like to hype it too much, for superstitious/jinxing reasons, but you can't deny that this could be "the year". I mean the Canucks are top three in the four vital team statistics (2nd goals for, 1st goals against, 1st power play, 3rd penalty kill). I've been watching the canucks since I was 7 years old, religiously since about 13, been to at least one game every year for the past 10 years, and I've seen them have some strong years, but for the canucks, nothing compares to this year. They've got it all... finally!

First and foremost, they are STILL sitting in first place overall in the league. A full 9 points ahead of second place Flyers, which is the biggest gap in points between any other team in the league. Luongo is on the best streak of his career and amongst the leagues goalies sits at #3 for goals against, #3 for save %, and #1 for wins. Then you have the Sedin's who sit and #1 and #2 for most points in the league, and to top it all off, arguably the best defense in the league with the canucks holding the #1 spot for best goals against per game percentage.

All said and done, the playoff's can't come soon enough for Vancouver fans :rawk:

There's a lot of speculation around if that curse should even exist. In the 24 times the presidents trophy has been awarded, the presidents trophy winner has won the Stanley cup 7 times. So that means that winning the presidents trophy gives you a 1 in 3 chance of winning the cup. Dunno if I'd call a 1 in 3 chance of winning the whole shebang a "curse".

That said, the canucks have had a bit of a playoffs curse of their own in the past, but I dunno, we'll see what happens this year....
