I've been a fan of everything they've done so far which means I'll probably hate this the way this year is going.

Thanks, for the heads up. Still kicking myself for not going to see them at Central Park Summerstage when I had tickets!!!

Btw Stu, if you're not busy next Thursday night, Feb. 17, you should check out Purgatory Hill @ Joe's Place (9pm). It's Pat Macdonald from Timbuk 3, who now plays a 3-string cigar box bass that's killer sounding! They're kinda Morphine meets swamp blues. Very cool, indeed.

I wasn't a huge fan of Dear Science at all, but any band that ever makes anything close to what these guys did with Young Liars will get my money for every album for the rest of the careers--just on the off chance they ever get that close to perfect again.

Didn't really hear any of the solo stuff, but definitely excited they are back from hiatus. One of my favorite bands making music today.

"Will Do" First track from TV on the Radio's new Album "Nine Kinds of Light." Release date 4/12. US tour Starts April 8.

hmmmmmmm...i like it, but on first pass it sounds like it might be better in context of the entire album.

That's awful but TV on the Radio album covers have always been bad.

Just heard longtime TVOTR bass player, Gerard Smith, passed away today of lung cancer. Announcement of date cancellations coming up. The band had already found a touring bassist to replace him while he was ill, but he didn't make it through the cancer.

Yeah and from all reports, all good people too. Very charitable with their time.

Got to be tough. Lesson here: we're all human. Live for today y'know?

They were very friendly to everyone around, for sure. Good energy will pull them through.
