I'm spinning Brothers for the millionth time tonight and thinking... there is no way they can top or even match this perfect album.

Rather than thinking they couldn't get any cooler it was my belief that The Black Keys could only get cooler....and I was wrong.

They are the anti-White Stripes, blues music without the eccentricity, attitude or sense of abandon.

Furthermore, they are bad Eric Clapton's, mediocrity desperately yearning after an authenticity they can never attain.

Oh, and Wilco deserve a ball punch.

This album is good but there's just SOO much of the same sound over and over again. Not nearly as good as Brothers.

I like Attack & Release and Brothers.
Most of the early stuff is great but I think they found their voice on those two records.
