Found almost all of Miles' Columbia box sets on the weekend. So it's all jazz for the next while.

Of all the albums I've seen you post in the NP thread, this is pretty surprising. How'd it end up on your listening pile?

Not sure about this, yet. The crappy sound quality is pretty off-putting.

I was a big fan of them way back when and had just ordered this from Amazon. I think it was the only one of theirs that I didn't have on cd though I gave up on them after Monsters Under The Bed.

I just made the decision last week to get rid of my vinyl copy of this (along with some other stuff).

I picked this up at a thrift store yesterday, and after a single listen, it seems like a decent set of indie pop/indie rock stuff. Anyone else familiar with this? (no, I didn't do a search)

Pole: Steingarten

Had one of those moments yesterday where I scrolled down my iPod and expected this to be on there but it wasn't so I had to dig out the disc and load it up immediately. Really good mid tempo semi-minimal techno. Accessible while maintaining an edge. Much more uptempo and song oriented than much of Pole's output and while still minimal a lot more going on than some of his more meandering stuff. From 2007, one of my favorite electronic albums of the last few years.
