My wife got me into this season. Holy crap that columbian girl, fuh. I hope Jacee gets hunger anger and beats the stupid glasses off of Phillip (i think that's his name). And that was a really cool version of Georgia that kid played with the stand up bass.

hahaha. I was talking to my fiance about that. She wasn't thrilled at how emphatically I was expressing my inner-fuh for that girl. haha

Yeah, that kid Casey with the stand-up bass was ridiculous. There are a couple of girls on it so far this year that have been really, really good singers. We'll see how it all pans out (specifically the 15 year old blonde from TN or something that keeps singing Aerosmith tunes).

EDIT: And I am thinking that Johnny Depp must have gotten his inspiration for Jack Sparrow from Steven Tyler. They're like mirror images.

I have no idea why I clicked on this thread as I've honestly not watched Idol since Kelly Clarkson's season or whenever that Ryan Starr girl was on.

I haven't watched since Kelly Clarkson either. But my wife's co-workers are always talking about it. So she wants to be able to converse with them about it. And I got sucked in. And they've got some interesting talent this year.

I thought his inspiration was Keith Richards.

And..I haven't seen an episode this season.

Timmy finally gets one right.

I watch for the trainwrecks/open mocking of the mentally handicapped in the beginning, but when it starts to get serious, my ears, they cry.

Ah, the good old back handed compliment. So much for not going negative.

I've never watched but the LA morning news that I occasionally watch while getting ready for work spends more time covering what happened on idol the night before than on what's going on in Wisconsin or Egypt.

I seriously love watching people have their dreams crushed on this show, and outside of the show for that matter. Like that one girl who was so sure she was going all the way, she was documenting every second of her trip on video and then ultimately has her soul and confidence in life destroyed. And then I laugh and feel her loss become my gain.
