Is it that tall guy who came with you to SXSW 2007 and got married shortly thereafter?

Yeah, I watched that last week, and it was great.

I hadn't really liked any of those guys' stuff that I'd heard before, but they really made the most out of that opportunity. That's how you handle your first major network TV performance.

So, 2011: The Year of The Uprising?

This Libya situation is about to get ugly.

End Times Comin

At least for things like cars, and a petroleum based economy.

Of course they've been saying that for 50 or 60 years and it's always worked out, so I'm just going to hide under some coats and figure it out later.

The son of Moammar Gaddafi has denied media reports that his father has fled Libya for Venezuela.

Though denied right now, VEN could become a quiet player in all of this. IF (and mind you that's a big IF) VEN does end up taking any role in this it will be interesting to see what position the other ALBA states take on backing Chavez.

he didn't seem particularly enthused to be out shopping, but maybe that was just for our lack of habitrails

This needs to be an emoticon. Possibly better than the Listening Party photo.

With Quaddafi possibly losing power, this has got to be one of the interesting times in my lifetime.

In May 2008, the US firm General Dynamics inked a $165m (£102m) contract to equip the Libyan army's elite second brigade with sophisticated communications systems.

This force, led by Mr Gaddafi's son Khamis, was deployed to the streets of al-Bayda - a city east of Benghazi and near the border with Egypt - where it has unleashed live ammunition on protesters.

Export licences for British arms to Libya in the first nine months of 2010 were valued at over £200m, spanning military cameras and sniper rifles.

Libya's final death toll, already over 300, will outstrip that of Egypt's comparatively peaceful struggle for democracy.

I was just listening to NPR news, and resolve to keep the gas tanks full in both vehicles from now on. And maybe a 5 gal tank in reserve. I know it ain't much, but I just have a feeling something bad is coming soon.

Heard "Paranoia" by Swollen Members in a store today...sort of a weird choice for in store music I thought.

Gaddafi bringing the crazy.

5.00pm: Gaddafi claims: "It's impossible for the youth to follow anyone else. If not Gaddafi, who else would they follow? Somebody with a beard?"
