First record was good, albeit a bit one-noted. She sang a lot about teenagery stuff, but with depth of an "old soul". I'll be interested to hear her new album.

She's touring with Daniel Martin Moore in support of both their new records. I really wanted to see them, but alas Sebadoh is playing the same venue a day earlier, and I'm definitely not fighting my way into DC 2 nights in a row during the week.

i've listened to the new album once and liked it all right. she's opening for justin townes earle tomorrow night. i will be getting there early, hoping she wins me over.

i saw her last night. she seemed really nervous. she looked at the floor a lot and kept the banter to a minimum. she sounded fine, but she certainly is young. i think she played most of the new album. there was only one song i didn't recognize in a 40-minute set.

i think the guy playing guitar with her used to play with david vandervelde a few years ago. that dude ruled.

so i think i dig the first lp better than the new one. new one is less raw, and more produced. it's still appealing but the first one is bad ass. anyway, think i'll check out a live show if she's in la.

i'm revising my opinion here... new album is really stellar. overall, 2 SOLID lps, that i highly recommend everyone checking out. love this gal's music.

yeah the new album is good and i think a lot more coherent than the the debut. also i dont know why she would be that nervous shes apparently been playing live since the age of 8?
