Only listened to LotusFlower and man, that song is boring. I'll listen but I don't have much excitement for this album, as has been typical of their releases since Kid A.

stayed home sick today, and this was a great surprise. 3 plays through now, and i personally love it. the drums especially are going to be incredible live. standouts Morning Mr Magpie, Codex, Little By Little, Give Up The Ghost, Lotus Flower. nice mix of Amnesiac, HTTT, and IR imo.

also, Separator is a fantastic ending. the lyrics lead me to believe this is a double album.

i have the same feeling, dale. i think separator is my fave track.

Just listened to it. (Thanks for those links, jasn.)

Nothing here grabbed me at all, but that might not mean anything. I did kind of like how "Codex" shifted things away from the electronics a little bit.

It'll take several listens for me to have any kind of solid opinion, but I don't have the best feeling about this one. It's a little weird that it's only 8 tracks at 37 minutes, and maybe considering the sort of cryptic nature of this release, there might be more to come tomorrow. Not counting on it, but who knows.

If this is all it is, I'm glad I didn't pay $9 for it.

I'm about halfway through the album right now and I easily prefer this to anything they done since Kid A.

That's odd because this doesn't sound very different from what they've done on the last 3 albums. Just a whole lot less rock. Like almost no rocking.

Maybe that's why I'm connecting with it or maybe the songs are better. I really don't know.

i thought IR was a headphones album. but this one is even better with great headphones. i honestly prefer to listen to it this way due to so many interesting things going on with the drums, vocals, ambient effects, guitars. it's really dynamic. so many layers of sounds coming in and out during these songs.

and what a challenging opener.

37 minutes is a good length. too. Having listened to it all, it's definitely my favourite next to Kid A.

Listening to "Lotus Flower" now. Not blown away, but enjoying it nonetheless. Hopefully I'll be able to spend some time with the full album this weekend.

not only is it a great fucking song, it shows that he doesn't take himself too serious, which is something a lot of artists could learn from nowadays.

now piss off.

after first listen, it's my least fav album since pablo honey (if that should even count). a lot of abstract ideas that don't seem to materialize. doesn't grab me instantly like "in rainbows" did. on my 2nd listen now. i agree with whoever intimated that nearly all 2011 have been underwhelming..

it gets better paladisiac, but you have to be paying attention. nothing jumps out as much as in rainbows. i'm enjoying it a lot on about 4 listens, but i don't think it will make it to epic status for me.

So he dances around like an imbecile for one video and suddenly it doesn't matter that he's in the most pretentious band in history?

I still don't have a strong opinion about this album, but that video is terrible.
