like ass rape (based on how i've seen it depicted on such programs as hbo's oz, of course)

seriously, though, the bulls are BY FAR the best defensive team i've seen this year...WOW!

i would NOT want to face them in the finals - rose is a beast

it's really weird this season - every other time the spurs went to the finals, i feared no one in the east (except maybe the pistons in 2005), but this year, i fear no one in the west and almost everyone in the east

i'm not sure the spurs could win a series against the bulls, heat, celtics or magic

The Bulls are the anti-Hawks. They've given their fanbase a reason to believe. Does anyone think they don't have a shot at the ECF at the very least?

They've built through the draft, added complimentary free agents, and kept their payroll in the bottom quarter of the league.

Makes me sick.

i like to see all the other teams in Portland's division blowing themselves up. maybe OKC can trade Westbrook for Steve Nash or something.

Chris Bosh just went 1-18 for the Heat against Chicago. ONE FOR EIGHTEEN. I know it's easy for me to sit at home and crack on athletes for poor performance, but seriously - with the opposing defense keying on Lebron and D-Wade, that guy gets nothing but wide-open 18 footers and put-backs from point-blank range. That is hilarious.

Marv's call of Deng's three was classic "Right. Between. The eyes."

I was hoping the Hawks would trade Josh Smith straight up for Nene, but oh well. A lot of trades, but none of them really excite me much.

Dude, that Hawks trade was the definition of meh. Not good or bad per se but just.....meh. The only thing they could possibly do to get me believing again would be to somehow convince Dwight to come home when his contract ends next year and dump Joe's contract somehow (disaster).

Agree though on these trades. Knicks are interesting but does anyone really think Melo is going to make them a Championship team. They'll score 105 a night and lose by 10. Just on the surface it seems like the Nets scoring Deron Williams improved themselves the most. Granted, they're in rebuild mode right now but still.

paper, agree. Don't get it at all. One of their strengths was that front line and without Perkins how are you now going to play with the Lakers bigs?

I guess that trade helps the Celtics down the line if they can resign Green and with the first round pick from the Clippers but their roster is dangerously thin right now with Perk, Nate, Semih Erden and Harangody all gone. I'm guessing they'll pick someone up off waivers But they're also betting on Shaq coming back soon, which is kinda iffy.

Sad to see him go because he is definitely my favorite Bobcats player, and not just by default since he's the last original one. I think you guys are going to like him a lot in Portland.

his numbers have been pretty garbage this year. He's just started turning them around, but it'll be interesting to see how he plays on a team comprised of a PG, 37 swingmen, and... Marcus Camby.
