Yes, I remember them sending something out putting an end to the Simple Last FM app that did this and ones like it for privacy policy revisions or something.

When I "love" a track it posts it to Twitter. Twitter seems to be more open to such things.

That used to work on Facebook, too. It was kinda neat for a little while.

As an aside, I still have no interest in having a Twitter account or following anyone else's, for the most part.

Not to sway this way off, but (and I think this was actually discussed elsewhere) I use mine as a sort of RSS Feed. Blogs/news/updates just filtering in. Also, I think its more useful as a tool to get messages across than FB.

How did you get this working?

You are missing out on some great stuff. There are a bunch of comedians I follow that can really get some funny stuff into 140 characters. Also I follow a few manufacturer's and blogs to know when they post new stuff. I like it because it puts all the stuff that I am interested in seeing all on one page that I can skim through, similar to a RSS feeder but more social.

for LastFM, go to the track you like, click on it, then click TWEET.

and Saint I'm following you now. I'm @ghostdontwalk

*edit* and then I see this article about Twitter cracking down on 3rd party apps
