Outstanding:
Archer
Bob's Burgers (the kids are too damn funny - Gene especially)

Very Good:
Traffic Light (wasn't expecting to like it but think it's well done)
Parks & Rec - (Ron Swanson is the key)
Modern Family

OK
30 Rock (not nearly as memorable but still solid)
Ricky Gervais Show (a few bits have had me in tears this season)

Things I've checked out that miss:
Mr. Sunshine (nothing funny about anything i've seen so far)
Perfect Couples (has moments but seems like it's trying way too hard - still probably better than most CBS comedies)

Excited for:
Life and Times of Tim (if it comes back this year)
Louie (first season was great)

Life & Times of Tim was fucking fantastic...so of course it was cancelled...sorry!

Portlandia was one of the best things on TV this year.

I love Archer and was looking forward to Bob's Burgers since H. Jon Benjamin is the lead in both shows, but I was pretty disappointed. I might give it another chance.

I heard they changed their minds. I'd love to see it come back.

They (HBO) did. It's coming back.

I'd put Community on that top tier as well.

I like Bob's Burgers and everyone involved, but the mom's voice just annoys the shit out of me.

X2
Also, any list that omits "Raising Hope" is incomplete in my book. That show consistently has us laughing our asses off.

I couldn't get into it. Their ideas were funny, but to me they'd just run a skit into the ground with the length of them.

Two that haven't been mentioned yet that I love are Delocated and Children's Hospital.

There was like 3 funny sketches in 6 episodes of Portlandia. It was almost all terrible.

I haven't seen anything on Raising Hope that has interested me yet, although I want to like it because dude from Deadwood is on it. I enjoyed Running Wilde a lot more and kind of gave up on that night when it was shitcanned.

absolutely agreed (same with Eagleheart, or what I've seen of it). Although I'm not sure they're currently on.
Metalocalypse's last season was amazing, but there's no sign of when the next one is coming out. Boondocks is, for all intents and purposes, done.

I haven't watched any of Portlandia because I've never found Fred Armisen funny for more than 6 minutes at a time. Ditto for all those shows with David Cross in them (aren't their like 8?) just because I feel like he's been scraping the bottom of the barrel for 7-8 years or so.

Perfect Couples I want to like, since it's got the Waitress and two comedians I like writing it, but it's pretty bad. Although there was one episode I can't remember that I thought was pretty funny.

Mad Love I can't even bring myself to watch. That fat dude has been in 2000 cancelled shows and this one is next. He looks like a tick.

I was astounded by how good The League is (not that it's AMAZING, but it's way funnier than I expected), but that won't be back on until after the summer, I'm betting.

ron is great in moderation, but i have a feeling they're going to overuse him (if they haven't already).

I agree completely. I really don't want to see that character run into the ground. I loved the Swanson pyramid, but I feel like it was too easy a joke.

Man, I don't watch any of these shows.

Bad Girls Club is my break out hit of 2011. I'm actually glad I haven't been watching it prior to this season because I'd be over it, but for right now, this is as good as television gets.

The only comedy I watch regularly is Californication and it's been pretty weak this season. I haven't seen most of the ones mentioned but the ones I have (The Office, 30 Rock, Archer, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia & Modern Family) do nothing for me.

i have a friend who watched this once, went into it thinking it was exclusively about fantasy football and immediately hated it because it wasn't accurate (adds/drops, trades of players who've been injured or surged between filming and airing) and there wasn't enough fantasy football talk. amazing.

LOL...I don't think there'd be enough for a show there if that was the case, but 'the league' does play somewhat of a role in each episode....anxiously awaiting season 3....hysterical.

I love Modern Family. I gave up on Community in the middle of the first season; maybe I should revisit it. I've been catching up on 30 Rock via streaming netflix on the Wii.

I like Modern Family well enough, but I will never understand the adoration I hear for it. It's really funny, but remains more of a guilty pleasure for me than a show I truly love, not unlike How I Met Your Mother.

I feel like they just really overexplains a lot of the jokes, when they don't need to. I loved the episode of Community they did making fun of the Modern Family formula, though.

also, as much as it pains me to say, I really miss Paul Schneider on Parks & Rec., which is as much of a capitulation to Black Putin as he will ever get. I love Adam Scott, but his character is still so wooden on P&R. I know it's intentional, but it really just makes me miss Party Down...

HIMYM remains a guilty pleasure of mine too. The show actually has a lot of smart jokes but mixes in a lot Friends like cheese.

I actually checked out Parks & Rec just because of Adam Scott (big fan of Party Down as well) but it's not for me.

As for Modern Family, my wife is a fan so I catch maybe every 4th episode...it's nothing special but doesn't grate on me nearly as much as the NBC comedies (which yes, I am throwing into one box for the sake of this post)
