If this is what counts as exciting rock n' roll 21st century style, we might as well fold it up like an old cardboard box and put it in a dumpster.

The gulf between what's been written about Yuck and actually reality is impressive even by modern standards of hyperbole and disconnection from reality.

Finally got around to listening to the strokes. I hate it so far. The synths sound terrible to me. To be honest it might just be because I liked their original sound so much. I'll definitely give it another chance in a few days and see if it's a grower.

The sound is led by Justin’s blissful voice, backed behind beautiful guitar melodies over heavenly synths, pop basslines and looped rhythms. Captured Tracks has released 7” single for the song “Party Talk” and will release the debut LP due out in Spring 2011 called Idle Labor. 2011 is going to be a busy year now that Justin has set up a live band for future touring. Keep a look out for tour dates in Europe and US come the new year. In no time at all, Justin has been able to move out of Dave Brubeck and Pavement’s shadow to create something his own which he shares with the ever continuing admiration of the world."

Glaswegian rockers Glasvegas follow-up 2008's highly-acclaimed self-titled debut with 'Euphoric Heartbreak', which was recorded in London and produced by Flood (Smashing Pumpkins,Sigur Ros). what didn't you like about it Rads?

It's probably not their fault, but the things I liked about the debut have been omitted (the echoes of 60s girl groups and JAMC) while the things that slightly bugged me have been amplified (the high dramatics of pity, the constant background drone). It's the second album syndrome - a debut exists as a single point, so the listener can hear whatever possible directions for that band he'd like to imagine, but two albums make two points, and two points make a line, and that line is the intrusion of a band-intended direction. I just don't like this direction.

Wow, I feel 100 percent the opposite.
