nah, Sebastian wears Quicksilver, Billabong, & Appaman for the most part. Hot Topic doesn't carry them. If they did, I'd shop there.

also, my sons hair is far too luxurious and cute for a mohawk (just yet).

My opinion is that if your kids actually like the music or go to the show, it's perfectly reasonable for them to wear the shirts. Otherwise it's a bit lame. My kids wear their Avetts, Free Energy, Apples in Stereo and (soon) Arcade Fire shirts proudly, although they, unfortunately, listen to loads of crap as well.

When my oldest was first starting to read (about 4 y.o.), we were in a HT-like store, where he caught sight of a rack full of Ramones hoodies.
He grabbed my arm, pointed at the rack, and said, "Daddy! That says 'Ramones'!"
I smiled at him and said, "Very good! That's right!"
He nodded his head, thoughtfully, still looking at the sweatshirts and said, in a very serious voice, "Yeah. They're pretty much the best band in the world."

A very proud moment.

If they had one in his size, we would have bought him one for sure.

Sebastian LOVES the submarine on that Beatles shirt, and he picked it out himself. Can't argue with that.

Unless Ringo is his favorite Beatle...

dress your kid however you want to dress them, you know better anyway. besides when they are like 18 or 20 or whatever and your kid brings friends over and they are looking through baby pictures and see how cool and not goofy the kid was when a baby, the girls are gonna get all turned on by the cool parents and you'll have already been divorced for a decade so its perfect

I just found a couple of photos like this one and ironed it on some t-shirts.

And, yes my kids dig them some Who. They've seen Kids Are Alright at least 12x, and of course, I give them the non-adult abridged version.

I enjoyed this. Mostly because it reinforced a lot of the decisions we've made that I've struggled with. There's a lot of peer pressure these days to treat your children like that. For example, we've made the decision to send our girls to the neighborhood catholic school, which is expensive but not ultra-elite. You'd swear that we decided to send our kids to the worst public school in the city by the tone in our friends voices when we say where we are sending them. Then you start questioning yourself and you even start to believe that maybe you're not doing the best for your kid.

And on playgrounds, I constantly get stares from mothers who look at me like I'm crazy for letting my girls climb stuff on the playground.

Oh man that's gonna hit close to home for a few around here.

This. So many parents, of boys even, baby their fucking children way too much. Little Billy falls down 1 step, and Mommy or Daddy is right there to be all "are you okay?? Awww". They don't realize that they're raising pussies, and kids that will cry at the smallest thing just to get their parents attention. Sad, and abundant.

Thankfully Seb is a tough kid, and not like this. As long as he is not bleeding or his arm isn't bent the wrong way, he's fine, and he knows it, which is the most important thing.
