Fellas, I am late to the party, but agree on all levels here. I was just bitching at my wife over the fact that we have not 1, but 2 strollers we really never use because Baby Gar likes to walk and/or run (into things) wherever we go.

I gotta get on that playground shee, looks fun.

some time last year our daughter fell and cracked her forehead on the corner of our bedframe. watching your child's blood drip onto your arm really isnt the best feeling in the world. she needed stitches. it makes me wince when i think that she was *that* far away from hitting her eye instead (it was right above her eyebrow)

For a while, when they really took a digger and were about to burst into wailing sobs, I would preemptively cheer and applaud. "Nice one!" I'd yell, or "What a spectacular dismount!" It seemed to confuse their tear ducts, rewire their instincts. However I soon got the sneaking suspicion that they were falling down or crashing their trikes on purpose, to gain my approval. I was faced with two choices: to randomly praise anything they did, regardless of the skill or danger the act required, or to willfully ignore anything they did, no matter how loudly they cried. The latter was much easier.

If anyone is interested, The Clymb has Sherpani child carriers for the next couple of days. Look like they'd be awesome for the parent who wants to hike and carry their kid. PM me if you want an invite--I get $10 if you order anything. They are like $130, which is $125 off list.

We've been trying to figure out which one to get, and I think my wife has it narrowed down to 2 others.

(high five)

Got a lotta great clothing from your enormous baby. And mine being in the lower %'s for everything but head size has extended the benefits.

yeah, it's frightening. he is only 10 pounds less than his 4 1/2 year old brother.

he's been walking for a few weeks now so i'm thinking he will shed some weight, but still...the kid's a machine.

You happen to know what model it is? My boss is pretty heavily into the Research phase right now, and whatever we get is very likely to be used more than average.

it's the Kelty Kids Adventure. sun shade, removable Day Pack, sturdy base stand, lots of storage...it's actually pretty light overall, a damn fine pack.
