i'll admit i know nothing about this band, and until i heard their new one WHOKILL, i've only heard a song or two on a mix here and there.

it totally reminds me of Bobby McFerrin.

i kinda like it.

Huh, I thought I'd heard something by this band I really liked, but maybe it wasn't this song? Could be that video just ruins it, but it kinda just sounds like a cheap hybrid of Vampire Weekend and Dirty Projectors which is something the world does not need.

It does get kinda cool around the 2:30 mark. Just avert your eyes from that video up there.

This one is fading for me (which is too bad as I guess the album doesn't officially come out until Tuesday(?)) I really liked the whole album on the first few listens, I thought there was something strangely accessible but there was at least some interesting things going on with the vocal layering. The more I listen to it though her voice just wears on me--it's too much at times and wish she would back it off more. Don't get me wrong, girl can sing for sure, but I think she may work better for me in a singles format vice a whole album.

that 13 year old hyperactive teenager spelling of her name doesn't really help either.
