I still haven't given it a straight listen (seriously, why am I so fucking busy?) all the way through.

Definitely stoked to give it a play but I think I'm gonna just wait until its out and suspend reinforcement

Wow, I never would have known that. I've never really figured out what At Dawn's special purpose is, because I'd rate it last among their albums, this'n included.

(As an aside, I don't even have the heart to post our standard joke about why Dickie quit the ABB)

That's surprised me a bit too. I'm gonna have to listen to At Dawn tomorrow, it's been awhile.

really? huh.

i guess this is as good a place:

At Dawn > It Still Moves > Tennessee Fire > Z > Evil Urges

too early to place Circuital, but it's at least equal to EU at this point.

and bg, i know my opinion doesn't carry much weight with you, but i'd wager my obnerhood that you'll find nothing enjoyable on this album.

I like It Still Moves and Z above the others with At Dawn 3rd. EU way back.

I actually listen to Evil Urges & It Still Moves on a fairly regular basis, then probably Z following up with At Dawn. I think I've heard their first album maybe once or twice.

Based on the level of disappointment I'm hearing, I'm almost certainly going to love Circuital.

I think starting with It Still Moves they go in order. Moves>>Z>>Urges>>Circuital>>>>>>>>>>>>At Dawn.

Never even bothered with Tennessee Fire. I have it, but I don't know that Ive played it.

I agree with almost all of these opinions. My only difference would be a minor change in album rankings: At Dawn (slightly) > It Still Moves > Tennessee Fire = Z >>>> EU > Circuital

Been listening to At Dawn for what seems like an eternity. I forgot how after "Bermuda Highway" this gets downright ploddy.

naw, our tastes aren't exactly the same but I pay attention to what you say. You might very well be right but I'm not sure that it's not worth my time to find out on my own. Evil Urges is the only MMJ that I don't really have any use for.

Also, FWIW, your ranking probably comes closer to mine than anyone else's.

At Dawn >>>> Tennessee Fire >> It Still Moves > Z > Songs:Ohia split >> Chocolate & Ice >>>> Evil Urges

That said, while I still think there's a chance I'd like it I doubt there's much chance that I'd love it and I'm not in a big hurry to hear it.

I should add that I listen to Okonokos as much as I do any of their studio joints.

When I pre-ordered Circuital I also pulled the trigger on the Okonokos vinyl box.

That's like saying it's the best thing on the menu at a hospital. That acoustic thing is nigh unlistenable.

I am still on the fence about whether I want to hear this early or wait until it comes out. I'm sure I will cave in the next three weeks.

Interesting that the consensus here is mostly "meh" while a buddy of mine with decent taste is really digging it.

While it's not as good as Z or It Still Moves, I'm still digging this rekkid. A handful of these tunes will sound great live.
