My dad always says Seve was the most impressive player he'd ever seen on a golf course. He saw Seve at some tournament in the 80's, the conditions were rainy and windy and miserable and Seve seemed completely unaware of the conditions...totally focused on his game, only guy in short sleeves, gameface on.

He's always been one of my golf heroes, at the course I used to work at we would call a ugly scrambling par...the kind where you hook a drive, knock it up around the green, chip to three feet, and sink the putt, a Seve par. RIP

Fucking brain cancer. 54 is way too young.

I feel like he doesn't get his props enough. Dude won FIVE majors in the era of Watson, Nicklaus, Crenshaw, Floyd, etc.

RIP.

I think it's a language barrier thing. When he was in his prime, gold was really dominated by US/UK players. Even Vijay Singh was really a UK guy who happened to be an Indian.

I agree 54 is too young - I actually thought he was older than that for some reason.

I thought he was older too. I think it's because back problems robbed him of the backside of his career. Seems like he's been out the game for a long time.
