Rondo and KG were amazing last night.

I'm pissed I missed that Grizz/OKC game.

I am prepared for this Era of Laker Excellence to be over... but I am sad today. I love Derek Fisher and it's time to hang it up. I have been thrilled at the physical freakishness of Gasol's gifts and am sad to see his mental weakness. At exactly the time that Bynum is (finally) ready to show his dominance, the rest of the team is disorganized and unfocused. Kobe still has about three years of being one of the five best players of all time, and the moments that his Heroic Will to Win and artistry still take my breath away. And I would love to see Phil demonstrate, one more time, his quirky brilliance. But I fear it's over... and I am sad. (Don't give a shit about the universal Laker-hate... Jerry West and Elgin Baylor are still in my dreams).

So how does this play out? Orlando's gotta be thinking about bringing in a few sticks of dynamite after this year's debacle. Bynum and Howard's contracts are only $3M apart so Bynum + picks + 1 cap equalizing player/contract for Howard wouldn't be hard to pull off, outside of it causing a full-on revolt in Fla.

the all-time legacy takes a big hit today by getting swept in pitiful fashion. and he's not one of the best five players in the league today, so I think you're overstating his capabilities at this point. unless we find out that he's been playing with a dislocated elbow since january.

Yeah, I don't think Kobe is better than Jordan, Russell, Magic, Bird or Jabar so he's at best the 6th best of all time. (my opinion)

Phil is the greatest basketball coach of all time, though, bar fucking none.

Pretty disconcerting to turn this game on at halftime and its 63-39. WTF?

In all seriousness, I know I've been kicking you and billy g in the nuts with all of my obnoxious grave dancing, but the truth is that the only reason a team even becomes worthy of generating such hatred is because they've put forth such an extended period of excellence.

Yeah, if you're gonna run up stats, I prefer you win a few more championships. But that's just me. So fuck a bunch of Wilt.

Congratulations to the Mavs who played spectacularly well. Quite clearly the better team.

From your post to God's ears.

That 10 game suspension Bynum's gonna serve at the start of next season for the elbow block on Barea does throw some sour milk into any potential deal.
