on first listen, i'm really lukewarm on this. absolutely nothing really grabbed me. but mmj always takes a little while to sway me. even on releases like evil urges that i don't think much of throughout, i come around on a bunch of tracks eventually. but how long will "eventually" be?

I've begun to dig it as well. Took 6+ listens to sink in. Love seeing some of the tunes live. They know what they're doing when they write these tunes.

Erykah Badu guest appearance at the show was unexpected.

Although MMJ's albums (like Wilco) sound alot better after seeing the songs live, this pretty much sucks.

Oh and At Dawn is their best.

I have yet to hear it. I was gonna wait to get my physical copy but fucking Amazon is delaying it for several weeks. So I may have to buckle and give it a spin asap. Anyone got a decent rip to lend me?

i'm watching the mmj vh1 storytellers right now, and it is kicking an unbelievably inordinate amount of ass

i hope they release this on cd, as well as dvd, because these versions are soooooo much better than on okonokos - mainly because jim's voice is flawless here
