finally loaded up the 15,000 tracks in my collection (which granted was a slow as hell process and annoying) and have been using it. once you get past the upload process, it's pretty awesome, especially if you have an android device too. today, i just figured out how to scrobble google music plays to last.fm. rad.

check it out if you haven't yet.

does it say that? ugh. i thought it was free for up to 20k tracks? i'm not sure i'd pay for this. better to have more local storage, but nobody's doing big capacity anymore.

The service is launching in beta today, allowing 20,000 songs, and it'll be free -- "at least while it's in beta."

oh dear.... well, my love affair may end when the beta tag is removed.

I'm on the Amazon Cloud System and I kinda love it. Probably pretty similar.

ive been using audiogalaxy...webbased player that has an app for ipod/android as well as allows for plays through browser. scrobbles as well. works great for me. no uploading, just has to scan your library. took about 18 hours for 100K+ tracks

no. i think goog is rightfully afraid of the copyright infringement risk.

audiogalaxy will also read your itunes playlists...the only thing it wont do is update metrics (play count, ratings)

I have my music backed up on a wireless external hard drive at home and it takes forever to sync music to that. I can't imagine the length of time to use these cloud services. I like the idea in theory, just not sure it is going to be practical and convenient for people like everyone around here with giant collections at this point.
