Yeah, that's exactly the approach I'm taking. This is nothing more than a fun sideline to me. I have no aspirations of developing into any sort of professional comedian or anything like that. It's a creative outlet that allows me to productively vent.

at the open mic i was at, they limit each set to 4-5 minutes

the emcee told me i needed to go closer to 4 than 2, but it was ok, since it was my first time

i've never been to a comedy-only open mic, and because musicians get 15 the comedians got 15. Which is a really bad policy considering how hard it is to put together 15 minutes of solid material. A shitty song is hard to listen to, but not nearly as hard to listen to as shitty comedy.

That was a seriously great performance for a first timer...you've definitely got a nice stage presence...big ups to you for for having the gravy makers to do it in the first place
