First I had heard about the situation was when I read and posted the article. Definitely a classy move. And, here I was excited that a kid who goes to my old high school was drafted. Perspective.

Off the draft, and onto the talk of realignment. A pipe dream in the hearts of mid-market teams who wish to be whisked away to a more friendly division. As an Orioles fan, I'm starting to dream of playing in another division, or even in the NL. What are the chances of any of this happening? Probably nil, but its fun to discuss crazy scenarios. Today on espn.com, former GM Jim Bowden put this behemoth forward: MLB Needs Geographic Realignment.

Its not horrible. I kinda dig what he was doing there, but that Eastern Division...sheesh.

I feel like the Braves could go on another run of 15 straight Division titles with that alignment.

Yeah I don't mind that for the Giants, although the Angels would be tough

I've always loved when ATL played the O's in interleague. It'd be great to be division rivals.

Someone made a great point in the comments section that, like the Pac-12, they should do a N.Cali and S.Cali division.

Let's face it, if realignment occurred, Toronto and Seattle are getting the short-end no matter what.

^A great article which essentially shows a potential hidden agenda in the attempt to re-align the divisions.
Whether or not one buys the agenda, the article sheds a lot of light on the complications that will be faced, particularly in the NL, should the MLB go to two leagues of 15 teams each.

Big series in Philly this weekend. Braves have been on fire but we won't get to throw Jurrjens or Hudson for this series.

Prado's on the DL but it looks like Victorino is headed there also.

UGGLA UP TO .183!

Also, anyone see that story from last night about the father who died at the Ranger game?

Unbelievably tragic.

I heard about it on the radio...isn't that the second time this or something like this has happened in that park? Really sad, that the 8 year old kid saw it all happen in front of his eyes.

I couldn't imagine my son standing in the balcony looking down at me while I lay on the ground dying. All over a fucking $5 ball.

I was tired and only made it into the 11th.

He was out but it's hardly the "worst call ever" that is going around the internets.

I've seen much worse go against the Braves.
