I don't think that most folks hate the Heat just because of their raw talent, but moreso because of the spectacle that was made of bringing it together. Especially the whole Lebron "decision" bullshit. But then, I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said before.

Maybe next year the ill will toward Lebron will have died down.

I'll admit to hyperbole on this one. However, I just can't see how somebody who deems themselves worthy of a a televised special just for picking a team and then having big celebrations and a parade before the season even starts can't be extremely arrogant. What LeBron did by moving to Miami to play with Wade & Bosh, in and of itself, I have absolutely no problem with. My issue was "The Decison" and the pre-celebrating when nothing has actually been accomplished yet.

That all being said, I still think LeBron will win a few championships. Probably not six, but somewhere between two and four. Going into this season, I thought the Heat getting to the Eastern Conference Finals would be deemed a successful season. Once they destroyed Boston and handled the Bulls, they became the de facto favorites and the measurement of success for the season was altered. It's still been a successful season for the Heat (in many ways), but even LeBron fans have to admit that he shrunk away in each and every one of the six Finals games when it mattered most. It will take a while for him to live that down. And yes, it was a great Finals.

Can't we all be friends... :wink:
