I too am in the desirous throes of needing an invite.

...assuming the invites have opened up again. They got closed last week due to too much demand.

Anyone using this yet? Seems like a lot of people I know have gotten invites in the last few days. I don't really get the hype, as the videos I've seen about it make it look like a shittier Facebook, or at least just more of the same, and I could care less about the "circles." I guess I'm interested to hear people's opinions, though.

I find it kind of interesting that google couldn't give away its social media (buzz, etc) but as soon as they make it invitation only, people start salivating. That's not to say that + isn't better as I wouldn't know. I haven't got an invite nor do I want one. I consider myself sufficiently "connected" to my friends and the outside world and I'm not really looking for new ways to not talk to people.

I still haven't really delved into +, but the one thing about it that may be an advantage over Facebook is that it ties into Picasa. One of the main things I use Facebook for is posting pictures for relative and friends, and it really isn't that great for that.

Just like the MySpace to Facebook migration, I will stick with Facebook until everyone I know moves to something else, Google+ or whatever, and then make the move. My decisions on these things are solely based on where I can connect with more of my friends.

I will say if they wanna get people to switch, a function to let people automatically transfer pictures and such would be a pretty important feature, no idea if Google+ has this or not.

I got the invite yesterday, posted something today and I think facebook is a lot more intuitive. They have made this too complicated too quickly. It's harder to just post shit because you have to analyze all the circles you want to share it with and that is assuming you have meticulously kept all your circles maintained and organized.

I kind of like the simplicity of everyone being able to see what I post, unless I don't want to see anything from them at all.

I also don't see the need to sort my streams by the circles I have made. Just show me all the shit. It's going to be very easy to miss posts and get missed.
