I really do dig that Cults album...just ordered my vinyl copy yesterday. But, for me right now...

Peggy Lee: Then Was Then, Now is Now!

Been digging through a stack of Peggy Lee records waking up this morning and digging this one right now. It's a nice combination of smoky mod/jazz numbers and a few more uptempo things. Peggy's in fine voice throughout. This is an artist I've heard casually over the years, but never really paid a lot of attention to. Randomly ending up with a big box of records that included about 6-8 of her albums is changing this. She seems to have a really deep and diverse catalog to dig through.

Tanner - do you like that Cults album?

I like a couple of songs off it but I'm not sure they really had enough material for an album.

I'm a sucker for any group indebted to the Ronettes, etc.

Not Tanner, but I can't get "Abducted" out of my head.
