I'm disappointed the Falcs didn't get Haynesworth.

Seems like the Jets and Pats are loading up...already heard the lame Yankees-Red Sox comparison.

Yea, the Pats are making some big moves. I've heard almost nothing from my Packers though... which I will assume is good news.

How about the dawning of the Gradkowski Era, Bengals Fan?

Can it be much worse than the Tarvaris Jackson/Charlie Whitehurst era that is about to begin in Seattle?

I'd rather have Gradkowski I think.

At least he has 20 NFL starts compared to Jordan's 15 pass attempts in 3 years. Gradkowski is just being brought on to teach Dalton the ropes of the NFL.

Still pissed about Joseph going to the Texans....

I anticipate another disasterous year for the Vikings.
Another over-the-hill quarterback? Loss of Sidney Rice.
Apparently the team hasn't learned its lesson.
I can't wait for the Packers to rape them again.
Funnel some piping-hot Chunky soup up McNabb's flabby ass.

IMO, this has been the craziest FA time in recent memory--and maybe that's because of the lockout, but still its pretty crazy all the stuff that's going on.

My Ravens released 4 vets (Heap, Mason, Gregg, McGahee) to start things off. There's been a lot of talk about what our priorities were going to be. One was to re-sign Yanda. Which got done. Now, rumor is they are trying to sign Ngata to a long-term contract, which would free up even more cap room. All our draft picks are signed (Jimmy Smith signs tomorrow), and we picked up 28 undrafted FA. I feel like we're gonna re-sign Heap (if the Cards don't do it first) and Mason to lesser contracts. Gregg is a possibility too, but don't bank on it. I want Nmandi Asomugha, though. The Jets are talking about him too, but I just can't see how they can afford him.

Laughing at the 'Skins, who made some good moves to get rid of dead weight, and then signed a bunch of players to ridiculous contracts. One of which is Chris Chester formerly a OL Raven. Got signed for 2 mil less than Yanda, and I can tell you, he is no where even close to Yanda.

Pats, I have no idea what to say. I have no doubt they'll find a way to win because with Brady its really hard to lose. But, seriously? Fat Albert and Ochocinco?

VY to Eagles is brilliant. They just got a great back-up. Still think the Vikes should've went after him as opposed to McNabb.

Vince Young is crazier than a shithouse rat on the one hand, but 30-17 as a starter on the other. If any one can make him into a solid player, it's Andy Reid. And if Mike Vick is your starter, you need a decent backup.

Eagles are sitting pretty with a backup QB upgrade (not sold on Kolb) and picking up Cromartie and a draft pick from the Cards.

Browns cut Delhomme to make cap room. Hope Colt stays healthy.

Belichick proved the Haynesworth/Ochocinco signings can work with Randy Moss. Whether they are the norm is to be seen.

I am still (rightly or wrongly) waiting for the Jets to emerge as the team of the decade.

Bears got rid of Olsen?
Best pair of hands on the whole fucking team. And they give him up for a 3rd rounder!

Morons.

Overall, I like the Eagles moves so far, but they really need to add a veteran linebacker and a safety. I am surprised that let both Quentin Mikell and Stewart Bradley go.

Apparently the Vince Young thing is not official yet, though. He has to clear waivers first.

Bradley needed to restructure his deal to make it worthwhile for the Eagles. I don't really blame them for cutting ties with him due to his injury prone status. I believe he was due some guaranteed cash from his rookie deal, and the Eagles thought they could use that money elsewhere.

Twitter is becoming quite the rumor mill. Its interesting how many dead ends have occurred so far this pre-season due to someone posting up something and then it being reported as fact.

Lastest: Darnell Dockett. Someone posted on twitter that he was going to be traded to the Ravens. Being an odd move, of course the entire football universe picked up on it and retweeted the heck out of it. Dockett this morning put the kibosh on it himself, saying he called his coach and got confirmation he wasn't moving.

Maybe??

I really wanted the Falcons to sign Ray Edwards. Him and Abraham coming off the edges could be pretty lethal.

As for the Pats signings, I think they made a GREAT move with Ochocinco but I wouldn't touch Haynesworth with a 10 foot pole.

I think this may be the one that finally burns the Pats. I'd bet dollars to donuts he shows up horribly out of shape.

I know you can never have enough pass rush and every teams needs some malcontents but I just think this guy is irredeemable and WAY too unpredictable.

I'm shocked Jerry Jones didn't give Tavaris guaranteed money. I wouldn't let him watch my dog.

And Vince Young is going to kill himself in Philly. Literally - I don't think he can handle the media speculation on his (blatantly homo)sexuality. Not that I care, but those kooks certainly do.

He's never going to amount to anything. He's relied to much on his athletic gifts, which are a dime a dozen in the NFL, and has been too coddled and insulated from constructive criticism (aka coaching) his entire life to be anything but an inconsistent and mediocre NFL QB.

I'm glad he's out of Nashville.

I don't really know what to think of the Hasselbeck signing. I guess if he stays healthy he can mentor Jake Locker and help him learn the ins and outs of being an NFL player. The fact that Hasselbeck has spent a lot of his career in Seattle will at least have them on common ground from day one. Their styles aren't similar and Locker has demonstrated inaccuracy and unfortunately wasn't at a winning program in college. He'll take time to grow.

Bye-bye Reggie, hello Sproles. This gets a thumbs-up from me.

As far as the Pats, Belichick is eventually gonna cross paths with one of these "characters" that he can't subdue. He's like a teenager thinking he's invincible, I think.

Finally, if I was a Buc fan, I'd be pissed.

NFL teams are swapping people on the same pace as MLB! One of the reasons that I liked football was that players were with teams for long periods of time and the contracts are not guaranteed which gives the players more incentive. It also allows Owners to get more bang for their buck by signing good players to long contracts during their prime with less risk and for less money than if they had to renegotiate every year. It seems like almost every baseball player (granted their careers are longer) has played for 5+ teams. I pledge allegiance to the $$$ of America.
